Voor TenneT zijn wij op zoek naar een Risk and Compliance Officer

Position

You will work as a Risk & Compliance Officer (Integrated Security Officer) within Digital & Technology Transformation (DTT). You play a crucial role in ensuring a resilient and future‑proof organization by safeguarding critical operations and maintaining business continuity.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a second‑line trusted advisor to IT and OT teams on risk management, audit, and compliance topics.
  • Orchestrate the end‑to‑end risk management process within the division, ensuring coordination and alignment with enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Own and maintain the risk register, keeping it accurate, up to date, and compliant with the Risk Management methodology; maintain clear visibility on key and emerging strategic risks.
  • Drive design, implementation and effectiveness of IT/OT controls and mitigation measures; work with stakeholders to ensure timely and sustainable remediation.
  • Monitor and challenge progress on risk mitigation actions; hold action owners accountable and address delays or gaps proactively.
  • Promote and embed a strong risk‑aware culture through coaching, communication and practical guidance.
  • Continuously enhance the risk management framework by identifying opportunities to improve maturity, standardization and best practices.
  • Partner with Domain Risk & Compliance Officers to ensure alignment, consistency and integration of risk practices across business units.
What we ask
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in IT/OT risk management, cybersecurity, audit or compliance, preferably in complex environments.
  • Knowledge: Strong familiarity with IT/OT risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT) and regulatory compliance.
  • Skills: Ability to translate risk into business impact and actionable insights; experience orchestrating end‑to‑end risk processes; capability to drive accountability and monitor remediation.
  • Mindset: Proactive, results‑driven and continuous improvement focused.
  • Communication: Strong communication and influencing skills, including constructive challenge.
  • Languages: Good command of English. Dutch is a plus.

Important details
  • The role combines security, risk management and resilience planning.
  • Location / working pattern: 3 days a week in Arhnem (Monday and Thursday mandatory), remainder hybrid. Increased office presence is expected during onboarding.
  • Checks required: A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and a UVO screening must be obtained before you can start.
  • Full‑time availability is preferred.

Eisen

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field
  2. Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in IT/OT risk management, cybersecurity, audit, or compliance, preferably in complex environments
  3. Good command of English language
  4. Days a week in Arnhem (Monday and Thursday are mandatory) the rest hybride
  5. The candidate has proof of identity (a passport or identity card), which is valid at intake and on the start date of the candidate's contract and can be submitted for verification
  6. It is important that the candidate is available for the entire requested period in the application

Wensen
